Greg Fiume/Getty ImagesUConn women’s basketball star Paige Bueckers has extended a name, image and likeness deal with Chegg and has partnered with the hunger relief company Goodr to open a pop-up grocery market in her home state of Minnesota.
Bueckers shared the plan on Instagram. The free grocery market is opening in Minnetonka at Hopkins West Middle School.
Last year, the Edina, Minn. native opened a pop-up grocery market in Minneapolis and served 150 families on Apr. 2, 2022. She helped give out 6,000 meals.
This year, the 2021 AP Player of the Year will use the same mission for a more specific cause, the students and staff of Hopkins West Middle School.
In a video shared by Bueckers and Chegg, the UConn star said one out of three students suffered from food insecurity in 2022.
Bueckers signed with Chegg, a homework solutions and exam prep company, on March 31 of last year.
The Gatorade National Player of the year has other lucrative NIL deals with StockX, Crocs, Bose and even shares a deal with Nerf alongside her teammate Azzi Fudd.
Most recently, Bueckers traveled back to her home state to help unveil a revitalized basketball court with StockX in St. Louis Park on Oct. 10, 2022.
