New Movies & Shows To Stream This Weekend: Sharper, Animaniacs, Star Trek: Picard + More
In Sharper, Julianne Moore stars as Madeline, a wealthy New Yorker who becomes the target of a scammer, played by Sebastian Stan. The film was released in theaters last week and arrives on Apple TV+ Friday. On Hulu, the third and final season of Animaniacs, the Steven Spielberg-produced reboot of the animated series will give us all a chance to say goodbye to Yakko, Wakko, and Dot. And on Paramount+, it’s the return of Star Trek: Picard, which stars Patrick Stewart in the role he originated in Star Trek: The Next Generation.

New on Apple TV+ February 17: Sharper
In Sharper, Sebastian Stan plays Max, a grifter, Julianne Moore is Madeline, a woman dating a billionaire, and John Lithgow plays said billionaire, Richard Hobbes. In a web of lies and misdirects, Madeline and Richard, as well as Richard’s son Tom (Justice Smith) all become targets in Max’s scam… or are they? The film is layers with twists and misdirects to keep audiences guessing as to who’s really working the long con here.
New on Hulu February 17: Animaniacs (Season 3)
The Animaniacs reboot first premiered on Hulu back in 2020. The series was initially given a two-season run, but thanks to the popularity of the revival and the show’s main characters, Yakko, Wakko and Dot, it was greenlit for one more season full of tiny, toony, looney episodes. The series remains full of gags kids love and pop culture references their parents will love, and Hulu will drop all 10 new episodes of season 3 this Friday.
New on Paramount+ February 17: Star Trek: Picard (Season 3)
Season three of Star Trek: Picard, much like Animaniacs, brings back beloved characters from the 1990s, breathing new life and new stories into the crew who appeared in Star Trek: The Next Generation. Patrick Stewart returns as Jean-Luc Picard, and though he has encountered old friends in seasons one and two, in the new season he’s basically getting the whole Enterprise crew back together: LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan and Michelle Hurd will all appear in the third and final season of the hit Paramount+ original series.
